The Product
Our engineered product features exquisite wide plank European lumber, cured and finished locally in Ontario.
Using pine as the core, our hardwood floors offer a more sustainable and environmentally friendly choice compared to spruce.
The engineered planks feature a top layer of 4 mm European solid oak, reinforced by a middle layer of a pine finger core and enclosed once again at the bottom with a 4 mm European solid oak.
This results in an equally strong counterpull that significantly reduces wood movement, including swelling and shrinkage.

Our planks feature a hybrid finish that is designed to highlight the wood’s natural beauty with a subtle 3D effect.
Once the hybrid top coat is applied and cured, it seals the wood’s natural beauty while preserving its original color. The result is a tactile surface that feels warm and inviting—perfect for walking barefoot.
Our engineered product features exquisite wide plank lumber from Europe, cured and finished locally in Ontario.
The result is a floor that combines timeless European craftsmanship with the precision and durability of Canadian finishing and bringing beauty, stability, and longevity.
MAINTENANCE
REGULAR MAINTENANCE
Daily Cleaning:
Sweep or Vacuum: Use a soft-bristle broom or a vacuum with a hardwood floor attachment to remove dirt and debris. Avoid vacuums with beater bars that can scratch the floor
Weekly Cleaning:
Dry Mop: Use a microfiber mop to pick up any fine dust particles that sweeping or vacuuming might have missed.
Monthly Cleaning:
Damp Mop: Lightly dampen a microfiber mop with water or a pH-neutral hardwood floor cleaner. Avoid using excessive water, as it can damage the wood.
PLEASE CONTACT THE COREWOOD TEAM FOR FURTHER QUESTIONS.
PREVENTIVE CARE
Protect from Furniture:
Use Furniture Pads: Attach felt pads to the legs of furniture to prevent scratches.
Lift, Don’t Drag: When moving furniture, lift it instead of dragging it across the floor.
Manage Foot Traffic:
Use Rugs and Mats: Place rugs or mats at entryways to trap dirt and moisture. Use area rugs in high-traffic areas to protect the floor.
Remove Shoes: Encourage a no-shoes policy indoors to reduce dirt and wear.
Control Environment:
Maintain Humidity Levels: Keep indoor humidity between 30-50% to prevent the wood from expanding or contracting.
Avoid Direct Sunlight: Use curtains or blinds to protect the floor from prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, which can cause fading.
